The past meets the present in a series of events and festivities designed to reinforce and replenish the cultural heritage and tradition, which are particularly colorful in this corner of Greece.
 
Local festivities are unique in character and a showcase of local customs. Jumping the fire at St. John’s festival in Tzanata, local groups dancing “balos” and “divaratiko” are just a few traditional events not to be missed.
 
Every summer, the Municipality of Elios-Pronnoi organizes many events that aim to demonstrate and preserve local traditions. Events include concerts, theater, and exhibitions.

In many villages the locals carry on from generation to generation many traditional activities such as weaving, collection and processing of herbs and preparation of preserved spoon sweets.
